3 Fire Facts:
1. In 2015, the band caught a big break by joining a rising pop star's tour. That artist was Halsey, who is, of course, headlining Firefly in 2022. In a 2022 Rolling Stone article, lead vocalist Zach Grace said, "We got crazy lucky with Halsey taking us on tour -- for a tour we probably weren't prepared for entirely." Grace went on to say, "It helped shape what we wanted. Because seeing the shows just packed with the energy, we knew this is what we were capable of, this is what we want." The band has also toured with other artists including Atlas Genius, Lostboycrow, Paramore, MisterWives, and The Band Camino.
2. flor is signed by the record label, Fueled by Ramen. This label helped bands like Paramore, Fall Out Boy, twenty one pilots, Gym Class Heroes, and Panic! at the Disco burst onto the scene.
3. When asked about why the band does not capitalize any letters in their brand, two of the band members had different responses:
Grace -- "It's very aesthetically pleasing to see just like a straight line with no curves and dips. Every letter should be treated as equal!"
Kitts -- "Early on, when we were pitching our music to blogs... we didn't really get any responses. At one point, there was a conscious effort to get more casual, and we dropped our capitalization and some grammar. Or maybe we got lazy. We actually got sick of sending those emails."
